A Set of Ten George III Japanned Armchairs
Circa 1790
Height 32 1/2 x width 21 x depth 20 inches. 
Condition
Sturdy and usable condition with even, attractive wear to the painted decoration throughout. Minor age cracks, craquelure, paint chips as is normal for age. Caning is all intact and sturdy (shows some age, but not 18th century cane). Later seat cushions. One or two of the back splats have been cracked or broken through their X intersections and repaired (very minor), some with a small amount of touch-up to the painted decoration.
